NEW NERIDA HANSEN FABRICS

Pile of printed fabrics alongside text stating collaboration of Verhee Textiles with Nerida Hansen

Nerida Hansen

An avid follower of Nerida Hansen fabrics, I had originally tried to order fabrics from them when I first opened this store. However, the financial and carbon cost of importing small orders from them across the globe deemed to be way unsustainable, so I made the difficult decision to not stock them (and continue to admire them from afar!).

Based in Australia, Nerida Hansen fabrics are known for supporting unique designers with an avid eye for colour with a positive energy. Their prints are generally available with more sustainable fabric choices, and their process of design and production captured my attention with how much they value the whole process. A business I want to support.

So it is with great delight to receive an email from a supplier of ours, Verhees, that they have collaborated with Nerida Hansen with a new collection of fabrics that exude joy, colour, celebration and power!

"Whether she is designing herself, or curating collections with other licensed artists, Nerida continues to push the boundaries of original art as a wearable textile. Her design ethos reflects vibrant, living designs with a unique, imaginative flair. Her deep-rooted passion for colour in particular, has been a driving force behind her acclaimed work. Every hue and shade she selects carries a story or mood, resulting in clothing and textiles that resonate with a deep, visual harmony."

We are absolutely delighted to be able to stock these beautiful fabrics. Whilst we currently stock their EcoVero™ Viscose fabrics, we are hoping that their cotton fabric ranges will soon be available in organic cotton fibres, or sourced from the BCI cotton initiative. Fingers crossed!
