WEDDING GUEST DRESS FABRICS

Five bolts of fabric stacked; each with a different print pattern of birds

Summer season = wedding season

Well, generally it seems to be that way anyway!

Finding appropriate wedding guest attire can be overwhelming. Depending on the invitation, it can be difficult to gauge how formal one needs to be dressed. And then, what colours should you avoid, any symbols etc.

We have found that the following always prove to be popular fabric prints:

Birds
Birds are symbolic of freedom and a new chapter of a life due to their wings and ability to fly. A symbol of hope and peace, they provide goodwill to newlyweds!

Colour
Colours that do not clash with the bride! So in western weddings, traditionally white. Also a general rule of thumb is to avoid wearing colours generally associated with funerals, so in the western society: black.
Opt for summery colours, which are generally light and airy to represent the warmer, lighter and brighter season. Pale tones of any colour work well. And if you opt for darker colours, choose ones that have a bright or light print to take away the darkness.
