A solid plain Black colour Linen fabric, perfect for both keeping cool in the summer, and for transitioning into colder months, in a neutral colour for your wardrobe staples.
Linen, which has always been associated with nature, freshness, and the intimate sphere, also has technical properties that warrant greater understanding. Its balanced ventilation and insulation properties guarantee thermoregulation and maintain a pleasant feeling of warmth, opening it up to use in seasonal wardrobes.
Linen is made from Flax which undergoes a number of processes before it is woven into a fabric.
Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ certified European flax is a natural, plant-based fibre produced using integrated crop management practices: crop rotation, a careful water management from sowing to harvest, no GMOs, retting on the ground, and extraction of the flax fibre using a 100% mechanical process (scutching) with zero waste, highlighting the unique expertise of European fibre producers.
Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ guarantees:
- A renewable fibre grown in Europe: in France (in the three main Flax-growing regions: Normandy, Hauts-de-France and Ile-de-France), Belgium and the Netherlands (source: The Alliance Flax-Linen and Hemp Economic Observatory ).
- Close collaboration between farmers and scutchers to ensure the best quality of flax fibres.
- Careful water management from sowing to harvest: in Western Europe, Flax is generally grown without irrigation. Irrigation is only implemented in cases of specific need, with justification and after a joint decision by the farmer and the scutcher.
- Field retting, without irrigation. Field retting occurs naturally through the impact of rain, dew, wind and sun. Water retting is prohibited.
- Fibre Flax seeds are GMO-free and certified by official bodies.
- A crop rotation system that preserves the soil and limits the development of diseases and the occurrence of pests. A long rotation cycle of 6 years or more is preferred.
- A zero-waste fibre: all parts of the plant are utilised.
