Corozo is a 100% natural product - it comes from the nut of the tagua palm tree, which are only picked when fallen naturally.
Corozo is made up of very tightly wound organic fibres which give it excellent durability and scratch resistance and gives a look similar in consistency to a hard resin. They were the popular button of choice way before plastics then took place.
Though Corozo buttons are machine washable, Corozo is a porous material and therefore, they should not be submerged under water for prolonged periods of time (e.g. 24 hours or longer) as warping may occur.
