The Shirt Dress is one of the newer designs from The Assembly Line. It allows for a classic garment to be of a modern staple design.
The Shirt dress features a slight A-line silhouette and is designed to end at mid-calf length. Comes with a regular collar, a front button placket and two different cuff sleeves to choose from, one full length and one that ends at the elbow. Pockets in side seams.

Suggested fabrics light to medium light weight fabrics such as cotton, lyocell, silk, lawn, linen, crepe de chine or wool crepe.
You will also need:
- Matching thread
- Fusible interfacing
- 12 mm buttons
Front placket: XS-M 11 buttons, L-3XL 12 buttons.
Sleeve cuffs: Short sleeve 2 buttons, Long sleeve 4 buttons.
- Colour block with different colour on top and skirt
- Add contrast colour buttons as a feature
- Experienced sewers can change the collar or use different sleeves for different styles
