Instagram Challenge ending 14th September

You may have seen our previous blog post about this, when it first opened. Hosted by @in_a_haystack and @fabric.lady.steph, the #StitchingAdventures2024 challenge on Instagram encourages you to be proud, wearing your me-mades, whilst on your adventures!

The picture on the right is of me having an adventure exploring the exhibition: 'Marc Quinn: Light into Life' at Kew Gardens, London, wearing a me-made from last year!

The challenge is broad - what does adventure mean to you? The adventure aspect of the challenge can be big or small, and can be an adventure indoors or outdoors.

There are plenty of prizes to be won, including a prize from us at A KIND CLOTH!

How to enter

  • On Instagram, post a photo of you OR someone in your life on your adventure, wearing a garment you made, upcycled or repaired. Can be a new make or an old one.
  • Make sure you tag the post with the following hashtag and the 2 account tags:
    - #StitchingAdventures2024
    - @in_a_haystack
    - @fabric.lady.steph
  • Enter as many times as you like between 31st July - 14th September, when winners will be announced shortly after.

Adventures
Adventures can be anything from having a movie marathon, to trying a new cafe, trying something new, going on a date, something physical such as a hike or a holiday! Adventures are limitless!

Whatever adventures you're choosing to partake in, make sure you're wearing a me-made, take a snapshot, and tell us about your adventure to enter this challenge!

Have fun adventurers and good luck!

In the photo, above right, I am wearing a self drafted top, a round neck with short puff sleeves, made up in the Lise Tailor's "Nenuphar" Viscose fabric. A lovely fabric to work with, it is stable and has a drape that also holds well for the puff sleeves. Even in 36ºC heat in the Palm greenhouse, the fabric felt breathable and comfortable to wear!
